You're in good hands. We are here to help. If water is actively coming into your home during a storm, start taking photos and videos for two reasons. 1) insurance companies will likely ask to see these photos and 2) photos and videos help us isolate leaks and solve for the problems you're having. Take shots that show more than just the actual leak; take a long shot showing where in the room the leak is occuring. And if possible, take a photo or video from inside the attic or crawlspace if it's accessible.

If you can't access the point of the leak, place a bucket or container under the drip at the highest point you can get it.

Understanding Our Repair Services in More Detail

Can you come tonight?

What constitutes an Emergency?

What constitutes an Emergency?

Usually, we can come within 24 hours of receiving a call. We prioritize emergency roof tarping and fit in smaller repairs like caulking chimney flashing or skylight flashing if our day allows. If a storm hits in the morning, it may be possible for us to get there by the end of the day.

Any repairs requested within 72 hours of a major rainfall event are considered emergency calls. Any repairs requested in anticipation of a major rainfall event (within 24 hours of the event) are considered emergency calls. Requested repair work performed on a weekend or after 4pm Monday - Friday are considered emergency calls.

Fees for Emergency Repairs

What constitutes an Emergency?

Fees for Emergency Repairs

Emergency repairs are sometimes necessary and unavoidable. Many times, insurance companies will reimburse homeowners for emergency tarping or emergency repairs to mitigate further water damage. Our emergency repairs start at $550 (typically this is for caulking a skylight or chimney flashing) and can go up to or even exceed $1,500 for emergency tarping of a roof. The larger the roof and the steeper it is, the more expensive the tarping will be.

How does payment work?

Why does the cost seem high?

Fees for Emergency Repairs

We collect a payment of $550 before we send our crew out - this ensures that we have a binding contract to come out and complete an emergency service. Payment can be made via PayPal, Zelle, or Credit Card. If we arrive on site and determine that the issue is not repairable or that the issue requires a more comprehensive solution than a repair ir a tarp, we will either refund your money or you can apply that initial payment to the larger project. When on site, we will discuss the full scope and cost of the repair. Final payment can be made by cash, check, credit card, PayPayl, or Zelle and is due before we leave.

Why does the cost seem high?

By nature of emergency repairs, the work can be even more dangerous than usual roof-related repairs. And it is usually more difficult to solve for. We send out full-time employees of ours to perform these jobs, which pulls our team away from other non-emergency work. Also, we are fully licensed and insured for roofing, unlike many local contractors who don't want to pay the high liability and workers comp insurance.

Will I still have Leaks?

Why does the cost seem high?

Why does the cost seem high?

Our emergency repair contracts very clearly state that - by nature - emergency repair work is a temporary attempt to stop water from coming into one's home and that we cannot take on the liability of failing roof systems or poor workmanship of another contractor. It's not uncommon for us to fix one issue and another one springs up 5 - 10 feet away during the next heavy rainstorm. When this happens, it's because there are more systemic issues with the roof system that need to be addressed by a partial or full replacement.

MAVEN ROOFING & EXTERIORS LLC - EMERGENCY ROOF REPAIR AGREEMENT

THIS AGREEMENT (hereinafter "the Agreement") is made and entered into this ____ day of __________, 2023 (the "Effective Date"), by and between _______________ (hereinafter "the Customer"), and Maven Roofing & Exteriors LLC, a company duly organized and validly existing under the laws of the state of New Jersey (hereinafter "the Company").

IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE: Emergency Roof Repairs are intended to stop a majority of water from entering the home. While we attempt to stop all water from entering the home, the nature of emergency repairs is such that there are typically multiple extenuating factors that can cause water to enter the home and cannot always be addressed by a repair alone. Therefore, we cannot guarantee or warrant that our repair will stop all water from entering the home.

  1. SERVICES: The Company shall provide emergency roof repair services (the "Services") at the Customer's premises located at _____________________ (the "Property"). The Services are intended to significantly reduce further water damage from the roof to the inside of the Property. Emergency repairs may or may not fully and completely stop water from coming in that specific location the Company performs work to and it is possible that water infiltrates the home from another location that the Company does not perform work to or that a small amount of water still infiltrates the home from the area that we performed work on.
  2. PAYMENTS: A minimum fee of $550 for emergency repair work is due prior to us coming on site and is payable via PayPal, Zelle, or Credit Card. Our technician will discuss the full Scope of Work of the repair or emergency tarping service prior to conducting or completing the repair work. If we determine that we are unable to properly repair the issue, unable to tarp the roof, or aren't confident that we can properly stop most water from infiltrating the home, we will refund 100% of the initial payment. Any additional payments required to complete the full Scope of Work for the Emergency Repair Service will be discussed with the Customer and agreed upon by the Customer prior to beginning work. If the cost is greater than $550, the balance is payable by cash, check, Zelle, PayPal, or Credit Card immediately after completion of the service and prior to our Technician's departure.
  3. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: The Customer acknowledges and agrees that the Services are intended to minimize the potential for further damage and are not a guarantee against future roof leaks or other roof-related issues. The Company is not liable for any roof leaks or damages occurring after the completion of the Services. Any further repairs or maintenance required following the completion of the Services will be subject to a separate agreement. The Company is not liable for any roof leaks or damages occurring because of known or unknown product failure or workmanship issues caused by other Contractors, before, during, or after the Services are performed.
  4. INDEMNIFICATION: The Customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company, its officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, and assigns from and against all losses, damages, liabilities, deficiencies, actions, judgments, interest, awards, penalties, fines, costs, or expenses of whatever kind, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or resulting from any claim related to the Customer's breach of this Agreement, use of the Services, or negligence.
  5. TERM & TERMINATION: The term of this Agreement will commence on the Effective Date and will continue until the Services are complete, unless otherwise terminated as provided in this Agreement. A Customer can terminate this agreement with a full refund up to the time we arrive on the Customer's property.
  6. GOVERNING LAW: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which the Company was formed, without giving effect to its principles of conflicts of law.
  7. ENTIRE AGREEMENT: This Agreement contains the entire agreement of the parties and there are no other promises or conditions in any other agreement whether oral or written. This Agreement supersedes any prior written or oral agreements between the parties.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Agreement as of the Effective Date
